Sugarplum Dreams

Simon Says Stamp
Wednesday Challenge
Christmas Cards
For my card I used the Stampin Up set Sugarplum Dreams. Such cute magical set. I stamped out all the images in versa mark ink using Tim Holtz stamping tool. I cut out the banners from MFT stax ribbon dies, the bottom one in gold foil paper. The sentiment from the set is stamped in gold Delicata ink. I placed the foil die cut ribbon from Memory box. The outline stitching is a rectangle stitch die from Lil'inker. The pearls are from Want to Scrap/ Red. This set of stamps has no matching dies if you want cut them out it  is all about fussy cutting.

Inspiration : Sympathy Flowers

My was inspired by Nicole's card. She made the card in similar colors using the new Grans Garden. I loved what she did so I pulled out Rosie Posie. Then I did what any costumer would do order that set! Her tip was to stamp the sentiment first then add the flowers and I did that making rest come together. My sentiment was from the Happy Hydrangea Set (Rosie Posie has none).

Argyle Dad

Papertrey Ink
Make It Monday
Stamping Outside the Box
The idea is to have something come out of the box (stamped or die cut) ...in the designer sort of way. Lexi explain this principle so well so do not leave it to me! So go to PTI  Capture the Moment Blog and get the full scoop.
Father Day came to mind using the PTI Tie Die. I paired it with Little Argyle background stamps (much easier to use with a Misti...just sayin!) and Worlds Greatest (an older fathers day set). I added score lines and small gems to finish it off.
Inks: PTI Pinefeather
Memento/ London Fog, Tuxedo Black

Thank You in Song

They had some beautiful photos of flowers, some with birds (see site for the full picture). It was so vibrant so I came up with my version. I used PTI Floral Sketches stamps and dies pairing it with Songbirds. I used PTI musical note cover plate for the background. Hawaiian Shores, Hibiscus Burst and Autumn Rose Inks were used. To make the white flowers I just stamped the outlines of the flowers then die cut it. I sprayed the flowers and bird with Shimmer Mist / clear. I used Saffron Spice card stock to make my bird and a few flowers.
I hope this not to bright as I used so much color. I really loved the Floral Sketches set , everything stamped and matched so nicely.

Better Together

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Cute
Looking for cuteness this week. I think the coffee cup and donuts, let alone this Pebbles  paper all qualify! The whole card club kit set from Feb at SSS was over the moon cute. Show casing a lot of things from Doodlebug, just cannot get enough. So from the kit was the cute coffee die.(which can be bought separately) I paper pieced the all the different colors.
The doughnut is from My Favorite Things. I pulled an older stamp from Cosmo Cricket ( to go with the Valentines Theme) for the sentiment. I found some flowing hearts from "Oh Whale" set from Stampin Up to place all over the doughnut then put clear Wink of Stella on it. Hope you enjoy my cuteness:)

Here is my take on this weeks challenge. I got bit inky with the castle. Started out with craft card stock and used a texture folder for the brick. Then distressed with TH Distress Ink: Walnut Stain. I did the towers darker than the background piece. I used the MFT Well Connected Alphabet stamps for the 'sisters' sentiment . The images are all colored in Copic then I put some clear wink of Stella to my little princess some glitter.

CASE-ing DT Link Up Party # 9

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

The challenge is to case one of the designers cards. So I cased Terri Burson's card. My twist was to use the Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts background for my "Falling" theme. Then the card stock was die cut again using MFT Blueprints # 22 the stitched corner cut die. I kept the sentiment on area above the cup.
My cup is Stamped, heat embossed in black glitter powder then fussy cut.The cute pattern paper is from  Crate Paper/ Adore You.  I paper pieced the "coffee" in brown card stock from the stash.
The stamps I used are from the Simon Says Stamp new Coffee and Tea set.I put a "2" where the word is originally in the stamp. That die cut was from the Memory Box Advent Calendar set just the 2 out of the ornament. Memento Love Letter ink was used for the stamping. My glisting hearts are from Cloud 9 Design/ Heart Rain Dots.
