For this card I made a paper hug from Vintage Linens patterned paper. I layered and inked it up (used Melon Berry) and stamped the the sentiment from the Make It Market Mini Kit: Halloween Hugs (used Dark Chocolate). What fun little set that is! Then I add 3 colors of twine from May Arts:Pink; Baby Blue; and Brown. Enamel Dots are from Echo Park.
I made this card using Beautiful Bouquet, Vogue Vases and a sentiment from Song Bird. The stamped writing is from a background stamp from Scrapblocks. It is hard to tell but it is on Silver cardstock and the sentiment is stamped in Metallic Sliver Encore Ink. Weathervane Ink was used for the background. my idea was to create a Black and White sketch influenced card using the outline.A variety of pearls used are from Want 2 Scrap.
Kim's Stampin' Patch on Facebook
A challenge on her Facebook page to use yellow! Not really that hard because it such a beautiful color but it sure hard sometimes to photograph... I also was so inspired by this paper being so soft bringing spring to the door step.
My yellows are Butter and Sunflower Ink from Lawn Fawn. Harvest Gold and Ocean Tides card -stock from PTI, American Crafts/ Dear Lizzy: Blossom Patterned Paper. Ink to Paper: Blossoming Branches, Penned Elegance, and Edgers Stamps and Dies; Soft Stone and Weathervane Ink.
For my card I used the Bouquet Backdrop and the Chain Frame. The backdrop is a solid floral die with no companion stamp. I used an brilliant technique seen from a video I saw on the Foiled Fox; I did same by taking a Copic line pen...O.1 tip Black then draw an loose outline.Next it was inked using PTI inks in the Pinks and Greens. Then I inked a Pink back ground, layering the chain die in some glitter paper for some extra sparkle. This entire layer is popped up on some Bitty Big paper.
The idea here was to use some older stamps sets b/c we all know they are still really cute and well loved! I decided to go with Easter... For this card I used the Inside Out Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Die to create a meshed background with the plain card stock melding the LF Gummy Bear patterned paper. I used some nice warm fall colors (Honey Nut and Olive Twist) to help kick off my fall card. The new die cut "Thankful" from Ink to Paper is perfect for these cards. Digging out the large Mat stack die but adding the impression from the 'Circle Shape Shifters One' gave it some interest.
For this week card I used the Mum set by doing some double stamping on the flowers. I have experimented with this set before but in different colors. This time I made it in fall colors : Terracotta Tile and Orange Zest. The sentiment die cut is from PTI as well. I am not sure where my vellum is from but I thought it was from an older PTI Sheer Vellum set... when they had these mixed patterns.I die cut using the Small Scalloped Stackers just the outer die.
I placed a sentiment and colored image from Autumn Abundance edged inked in Terracotta Tile ink . A few deep green pearls from Want to Scrap finish off the card. It is fall for sure!
I picked Laurie's card to case. Using the Peony Cover Plate in Pale Peony card stock and matching base. It was closet thing I had that had an outline pattern. I really loved this new die that came out and of course it went right in my shopping basket. Knowing also that it came with an additional border makes it such a bonus! I used the small Peony flowers from Pretty Peonies Stamp and Die set. The sentiment is from Penned Elegance stamp set.

Well one of my new favorites is the Loosely Woven stamp. I have been using on everything...this time I stamped in Encore Ultimate Metallic Ink Sliver, it gave just nice touch of sheen. For the rest of card I stamped the sentiment out in Weathervane Gray Ink (Penned Elegance II) ...my plan was to keep the whole look a bit softer and enhance the sliver gray look.
Flowers from Botanical Bounty stamped Berry Sorbet and TM Distress Ink Coral. The leaf are die cut from the Fancy Foliage Details Die from a matte silver paper card stock. The loosely Woven pattern was die cut from the Mix and Mat set Scalloped set just using the edge pieces. My card front is the small polka dot Berry Sorbet with a small piece of vellum layered half way up to temper the color. My gray pearls are from Want2 Scrap , and tiny dots are from Starform.
