Holiday Cheer Throughout the Year

Jingle Belles
Not the card the BLOG! I recently discovered a blog run by Stef (Smilyn Stef) and Lauren (Lauren Bergold). They have a way to help motivate you to make your XMas card through the year so by the time December rolls around you are ready! Besides this just more card making fun. I might even use those stamps and paper that really remain un-inky. So this month challenge is to use something new crafty that you just got. None of the elf's that I live with would ever know what crafty item to buy so I am my best secret Santa (ha)!
I got this falling star die (Simon Says Stamp) and the new Hero Arts Christmas sentiment set Miracle of the Holiday. Oh yes Santa was good to me;)
For this I cut out the die and lined the bottom paper with red and green strips. Placed the die cut on top. Cut out the banner, stamped the sentiment (bent it to shape the die) and popped it up on the card.I added some tiny star stickers. I used Hero Arts Punch Ink, not just because it was red (which helped) but the ink covered the 'solid' portions of the sentiments making for better stamping= better results.
Sentiments:Hero Arts/ Miracle of the Holiday
Dies:Simon Says Stamp Exclusive/ Falling Stars; Spellbinders/ Large Banner Dies
Cardstock: Neenah/ Solar White, Red; WorldWin Color Mates/ Medium Green
Stickers: Starform/ Stars
Ink: Hero Arts/ Hero Hues Punch
Happy Crafting
Barbara

what a beautiful card, i love the perfect C&S simplicity of it, with those strong pops of red and green to add extra festiveness! thanks for sharing your new goodies & your fab card with us at JINGLE BELLES, we're thrilled to have you with us this year! ♥

ps: i think santa needs extra assistance at xmas time, so i always make sure to buy myself a little something, just to help him out!!! :) :) :)
