Best Part of the Day
Best Part of the Day
Homework! I did it , taking the Online Card Class. So I feeling all back to school (I like it!). So here is card I made following the outlined directions. I went with happy paper because I do not do misting (way to messy and the splatting is just a battle). I have the PTI die "you" but there was nothing to really go with it, until Simon Says Stamp came out with super sentiment stamps.I will be donating to OWH so I kept the cards in in more of a mail friendly version.
Patterned Paper: Basic Grey
Sentiment: Simon Says Stamps/ You
Die:Papertrey Ink/ Word Dies

Itty Bitty Love
Make an Itty Bitty Card Challenge
A big challenge over at MoxieFab World Blog! My card is only 2 3/4 by 3 inches. Any one remember those small Valentines ? Well now I have one to tuck somewhere for the DH. The main image is stamped from an older Hero Arts stamp (it still works!) and small arrow is from Paper Smooches/ Teen Routine. Also this will be entered here A Blog Named Hero for the Golden oldie stamp challenge. I added some black pearls from Kaiser Craft and Neenah Cardstock.

An Unscripted Sketch
Abstract Art is what I call this. Very different. OK I did pick the polka dots to work with but this all the washi tape I own. Admittedly this is first time I have used this tape and it has been sitting their. Anyway I tried something new! I picked the scarlet jewel (PTI) color to give some color but not to scream. color.

Buzzy Bee
This week is a sketch to follow closely or loosely. I have bees on the mind lately or is just the nearest paper pack on my desk? I stamped out the flower from Bold Blooms in that Butter Bar Ink from Hero Arts. I am loving this color because it is not so yellow but a nice warn orangey yellow while not being orange(Makes sense right!). At any rate I was inspired by this stamp to put my ink to use. The bee is stamped then paper pieced on top...so happy! He is colored a bit with Copic to blend in with the flower. Using pop dots for the long piece and on the small top banner.

OWH Sketch 155: B- Day
I used the Bee theme for a birthday card today. Since I was at the desk made some extra cards as well. For strip across I went with the banner of tiny little bees. My big sticker bee was originally a very bright glaring yellow so out came the Copics to color tone that down to match the paper better.
On second cards I used the patterned paper of horizontal strips and cut it till patterned repeated itself. This piece of 6x6 paper only had one sunflower so I made it the main point of interest with the twine bow. Also when cutting the paper to fit I had to cut on each side of the paper to help the flower remain centered.
Patterned Paper: Nikki Sivilis/ Willow Bee
Cardstock: Neenah Solar White
Twine: May Arts/ Beige
Stamps: Cornish Heritage Farms / Rummage Bin-Sweet Bee

Rooting for the Home Team!!
What a crazy fun challenge. I do not have thing to do with exercise ..umm stamps that is. So here I am back in the craft area and the local NFL play offs are here (San Fransisco 49ers) so....more crafty time for me (the husband is not paying any attention to me, watching the big game) So in honor of my happy time I made a sports card to root on the home team (more football more happy time:). I went bold and used the team colors (gold and red). This card will sent out to one of my 49er relatives who will love it for sure (not ones living near Green Bay).

All About Love
A Card with No Sentiment
Do Dry Embossing
I am making lots of love cards, it is the season besides they are very useful to donate because everyone whats to send love...even better receive it:). That fish tail banner is really a wine tag die with the bottle ring cut off at the top area. Then a small scallop on the side to help break up a bit of that color. I hope you can see the embossing on the base card but it is there.
Cardstock and Patterned Paper: Papertrey Ink/ Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz Mix
Twine:May Arts/ Ivory

Holiday Cheer Throughout the Year
Jingle Belles
Not the card the BLOG! I recently discovered a blog run by Stef (Smilyn Stef) and Lauren (Lauren Bergold). They have a way to help motivate you to make your XMas card through the year so by the time December rolls around you are ready! Besides this just more card making fun. I might even use those stamps and paper that really remain un-inky. So this month challenge is to use something new crafty that you just got. None of the elf's that I live with would ever know what crafty item to buy so I am my best secret Santa (ha)!
I got this falling star die (Simon Says Stamp) and the new Hero Arts Christmas sentiment set Miracle of the Holiday. Oh yes Santa was good to me;)
For this I cut out the die and lined the bottom paper with red and green strips. Placed the die cut on top. Cut out the banner, stamped the sentiment (bent it to shape the die) and popped it up on the card.I added some tiny star stickers. I used Hero Arts Punch Ink, not just because it was red (which helped) but the ink covered the 'solid' portions of the sentiments making for better stamping= better results.
Sentiments:Hero Arts/ Miracle of the Holiday
Dies:Simon Says Stamp Exclusive/ Falling Stars; Spellbinders/ Large Banner Dies
Cardstock: Neenah/ Solar White, Red; WorldWin Color Mates/ Medium Green

OWH Sketch 154
I went with the patriotic Thank You note theme. The patterned is Bo Bunny Liberty Collection. It has many Red Withe/ Cream, and Blue theme papers. One draw back some are very large prints like a flag or the big circle. So in order to put use some these pieces a lay out like this works giving use of some of large image. I cut a 3 inch section of the flag then cut up the one and a half inch squares. Then added the stars. My big star is silver shiny paper left over from other projects.
Patterned Paper: Bo Bunny/ Liberty Collection
Sentiment: Paper Smooches/ Simply Said

Cup of Thanks
CAS-ual Fridays
Thank You Card Challenge
I went with Paper Smooches Stamps..nothing like hot warm beverage this time of year. Coffee is certainly on my brain. The cup was masked and its 'plate' was stamped. I took the tiny coffee bean and rotated to fit the cup. Cream paper (which is showing a bit more gray..ugh!) was used instead of white.
Stamps: Paper Smooches/ Cyber Cafe/ Hot Concoctions
