Cuppa Love

Color challenge entry :Cuppa Love. This was a challenge to add in the turquoise. There really is a tiny blue touch on tea pot lid, a very small stripe. This is a stamp from stamping Bella and it so cute!! They come unmounted so I had to find my peel and stick sheet and put it together on my block. That alone made me realize why I had not used this stamp or really can I call out a life line for someone to help me organize:)I felt these colors are bold, so more I looked at them my comfort level increased therefore the card got easier to make. The cup was masked so I could stamp the base then colored with copics, placed on the red oval. Other papers placed then came the ribbon and buttoned bow. The button had four holes so a set of two has a faux knot while the other two actually tie to the ribbon. Next the stamped oval attached with pop up dots, then letters cut with the circut at 3/4th of an inch then placed in Xyron. Adhered to the card. Happy 50th color challenge Kristina!!!

Leaf Cards

Back at it again. The first card made at card class. We used Technique Tuesday tiles for leaf all inked in lime leaf green ink. This ink has more of a lime green feel. All placed on a coordinating card stock.
The second card I made from the left overs. I inverted the tile piece and inked it up with PTI leaf green. The ink really does absorb on this paper and makes color more intense plus I wanted a deeper coverage. I used PTI leaf green card stock cut a window to fit the tile. Lined the with a piece of vellum and stamped the sentiment from PTI a Ponds Life. The paper on the inside is from Cosmo Cricket. I liked because it was more bright and more had a masculine feel. It was from an 8x8 paper packet that had a pre-edge cut out design already made to add a nice finished touch. I added a tiny scalloped border on that bottom inside rim of the "window" for added interest on both sides. I guess we all know who is going to get this card.
Have great day!

How Sweet It Is

Hello all,

I have the sweetest card I made for a young lady at work. She is getting married and they posted the wedding shower flyer design in a corset, So awhile back while blog hopping someone on the amuse site had a corset (more detailed than this) so I thought I would give it a try. I made my pattern to cut the corset out by combining a heart and a circle. Next I used the circle to cut and pattern out the leg section. I lined the top portion of the bust with a pink pre -made ruffled ribbon. I used some glue dots to stick the ribbon so that it would anchor to the paper. I made the ribbon bows from translucent narrow pink ribbon. I really went for tiny so that they would be in portion of the design. I placed it on lavender card stock. Then I cut her name out of letters from the circut machine and placed them on the card. I so pleased with the results :)

I am trying out a new layout for the blog-o here. This layout you can do wrap around feature and in due time find a new banner...something creative of course. Next for the inside of the card. This was a fun card to make. Really to make it more wedding like using more white would be the answer. Thats all for now !

To Someone Special

A card I made to send across the miles! Thinking of distant friends in Texas. Inside the sentiment says *Thinking of you across the miles* Again put together from that stash pile. Now better get to some envelope making and surprise that friend. Look no ribbon:0) Another still at that wrap around text trying thing I hope it is better.

Moving On Card

This is a card for a girl at work she moving back east to be with the family. I decided to stamp the envelope for some added effect. This is to help keep me in practice. I made this bow with a button tied with some hemp string.
This card was all made from scraps from the bin. You know that pile is getting large.

Paper: PTI Polka Dot Paper, Light green bazill paper
Dew Drop gem, PTI leaf green button, ribbon from American Crafts, letters cut from the Circut Plantin Schoolbook. stamp from Hampton Art Stamps. Well getting back to a normal routine now, and heading back to work tomorrow. That all for now and enjoy the heat. Sorry the wrap around feature in the writing is bit off trying something new!!!

Vegas is A Muse +Umbrellas

Back from Vegas WHEW!! A conference time and a little rest and fun :) All I could see was tons of images and thinking I could make a card. At the Plazzo, the third hotel from the Venetian Hotel: they had many color full umbrellas as the spring theme at the entry way all hanging in a stunning arrangement. I was mesmerized especially since all week before and up to 15 th Paper Trey Ink was teasing us with sneak peek on the different stamping umbrella's and possibilities!! And I follow Dawn McVey, now- she would just love this since she was designer. Any way I will do my PTI ordering now since I on a more secure server. So here the umbrellas and a card I had made before I left. The card is a simple card for Mother's Day coming up.

Supplies : PTI polka dot basics, Basic Gray sugared, the pink roses, a small frame from travel pack from the stash, PTI stamp sentiment, little jewels from Robins Nest

Spring Cards

WOW time is just flying by!! Spring is here and I have posted in awhile but still have been creating. I did a bird on a branch style kinda card. I read many blogs for just the push I need to get going. One I did see was Curt O Brien, he had a funny picture of a bird on top of a branch and I was immediately thinking that would be a great card. So I made two cards not exactly like the pic but maybe next week. That how got on this crazy bird kick and loving it even more. The sentiment A Little Birdie Told Me was made from the computer and punched out. I knew Hero Arts had that sentiment but I could not locate anywhere in my stamping chaos :) I finally did find it after the card was all done, well that figures(LOL). The top card reads *Of course you can fly dreams have wings* so positive and encouraging and think I might just know who to send that card to. I just have to make some envelopes now.

So here the supply list:

Paper:American Crafts Backyard Series

Nessabilities Square Cut dies

Hero Arts Stamps and Crystal green flower

Crafty Secrets /Clear Arts

The bird is technique Tuesday from the foam tiles

Ink :PTI

Well that is all for now. Going to Conference in Vegas ;-)
