You"re Sweet

My Favorite Things
Sketch #291

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Anything Goes!

I made this sweet card for the MFT sketch challenge. Going with a small shaker look in the jar to highlight my sequin candy. I used the Candy Jars and Candy Jar Companion Sentiments and Dies. Also the Spotlight Sentiments / Thank You. All stamped out in Memento Rhubarb Stalk ink.The pattern paper is from Stephanie Bernard 6 by 6 paper stack. I know it hard to but the sentiments and behind the jar are sprayed with Sheer Shimmer Spritz (Imagine crafts)...Wow what nice sheen. I could never Wink of Stella all that area. this new shimmer spray is Fabulous!!

Great little project to do. I used Tim Holtz Distress Tarnished Brass paint.Though I did cut the sentiment out the PTI coaster paper, genius! Held the paint well and you get a sturdy piece to work with. This is going to in handy around Holiday time for sure.

Watercolor Like a Master with Kay Miller
Here is my card for this challenge! I love it! I followed her directions in the video and what a fun techniqie. Using the Mum the Word stamp set to make the flowers just sing! Her color choices are so vibrant (must use them again!). I have been using this set to make some one layer cards, but this was just a whole new look. What great use for some older flower sets with no dies.

Simple Thanks

Papertrey Ink Stamp A Faire 2016
Masterpiece Inspirations with the Team
I created this card using the artist Warren Kimble, "Welcome Pineapple". Team designer Melissa Phillps choose this artist. I don't if captured simple folk art/ clean line look but it is close as it going to get:)
I used the older more traditional pineapple from PTI  First Fruits collection.Stamped my pineapple in Delicata gold, and the rest in Ripe Avocado on some craft card stock. Trimmed that in Ripe Avocado paper. As base I placed on the Chicken Scratch Gingham paper. The thanks is die from PTI Grand Curvy Greetings. There is no welcome die or stamp that fit here or even my stash...um mm!? A block lettering did not feel right..after all mine is a card!

Notched Flowers -String Art PTI/ MIM #255

Papertrey Ink
Make It Monday # 255- String Art
This weeks challenge was to make a card using your dies adding sting art. I went with the PTI Notched flower dies. I used the two medium and one small. The large one seemed to over whelm the whole card for this project. These did work nicely b/c I never had matching stamps (totally missed that one!) and return on the pattern is very flower like.
Using the PTI Pale Peony paper I edged the notched flower PTI Hibiscus Burst Ink, did my string art with some May Arts Twine. They are layered over the New Leaf die cut out in craft paper, inked up in Hero Arts Wet Cement Ink then edged in Tim Holtz Distress Crayons/ Gray. I used Soft Stone card stock and the polka dot soft stone patterned paper all from PTI. The sentiment is from PTI Global Greetings.
