Golden Poppies

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Playing along this week. I decided to make some "Golden Poppies". I guess just because fall is on my mind. The flowers are stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Butter Bar from Hero Arts. I double stamped the leaves in two colors, Cottage Ivy by Memento and Green Hills from Hero Arts.The top flower center is colored in with a Copic Y35 (Maize) then has some clear wink of Stella placed on it to some spark.The watering can is die cut out in in a gold metallic paper with some Gold threads from DMC spool.I love the way it pulls that corner in.

Anything Goes

An anything goes challenge! Well this was to go on the last week post but missed the deadline so I just decided to post on anything goes. All while I making this card I was thinking of my friend who is nearing the end of her cancer treatments and struggling a bit more now but looking ahead.
For this card I inked the clouds in Memento Summer Sky Ink, masked the kite and clouds. Stamped the sun and heart in Memento Dandelion Ink. The rest is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I paper pieced the kite with some Enchanted Evening patterned Paper and colored the surrounding clouds around the kite in clear Wink of Stella.Copic were used to color in the kite ties.
