Thankful Fall

Laurie Fabulous Favorites
Fall Favorites
I used some nice warm fall colors (Honey Nut and Olive Twist) to help kick off my fall card. The new die cut "Thankful" from Ink to Paper is perfect for these cards. Digging out the large Mat stack die but adding the impression from the 'Circle Shape Shifters One' gave it some interest.

Fall Mums

Ink to paper
Laurie's Fabulous Favorites
Use Vellum
For this week card I used the Mum set by doing some double stamping on the flowers. I have experimented with this set before but in different colors. This time I made it in  fall colors : Terracotta Tile and Orange Zest. The sentiment die cut is from PTI as well. I am not sure where my vellum is from but I thought it was from an older PTI Sheer Vellum set... when they had these mixed patterns.I die cut using the Small Scalloped Stackers just the outer die.

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #448
For this weeks sketch I went with a few older sets. The border Spotlight Sentiments and the Party Animal Stamps and Dies. Sometime finding this older border set is great because now with a Misti I can get much better stamping out of it! I also used the MFT cloud stencil .I kept it simple and fun ready for  a party!

Laurie's Card Set from Ink to Paper

I picked Laurie's card to case. Using the Peony Cover Plate in Pale Peony card stock and matching base. It was closet thing I had that had an outline pattern. I really loved this new die that came out and of course it went right in my shopping basket. Knowing also that it came with an additional border makes it such a bonus! I used the small Peony flowers from Pretty Peonies Stamp and Die set. The sentiment is from Penned Elegance stamp set.

Botanical Anniversary

Ink to Paper
Laurie's Fabulous Favorites
Favorite Background
Well one of my new favorites is the Loosely Woven stamp. I have been using on everything...this time I stamped in Encore Ultimate Metallic Ink Sliver, it gave just nice touch of sheen. For the rest of card I stamped the sentiment out in Weathervane Gray Ink (Penned Elegance II) ...my plan was to keep the whole look a bit softer and enhance the sliver gray look.
Flowers from Botanical Bounty stamped Berry Sorbet and TM Distress Ink Coral. The leaf are die cut from the Fancy Foliage Details Die from a matte silver paper card stock. The loosely Woven pattern was die cut from the Mix and Mat set Scalloped set just using the edge pieces. My card front is the small polka dot Berry Sorbet with a small piece of vellum layered half way up to temper the color. My gray pearls are from Want2 Scrap , and tiny dots are from Starform.

Joyful Jar Flowers

Ink to Paper
Laurie Fabulous Favorites
Using Up Scraps
Using  the die set Joyful Jars was perfect for scraps. It is a die cutting set of small flowers, leaves, labels and of course the jar. Today I choose the flowers and leaves plus bouquet label base. I used many different colors of  Ink to Paper card stock and die cut away! Inked the base with Amethyst Allure. the next layer was die cut with the Scallop Stacker's Small Frame: the inside one only. The sentiment is the thanks from the PTI big series.
The Joyful Jars set though at first was a challenge to figure out. What helped  was down loading  the PDF on the blog the cross organizing my dies to match. For further storage I placed each flower set in a small plastic bag labeled for each flower by number. I cut up the PDF sheet for the flowers and placed on some card stock so I could see them for reference.I was surprised to learn there is 6 different flowers! I placed leafs on separate piece of magnetic sheet in small pouch. the larger pieces went in the regular Avery Elle bag.

Round Star

Simon Says Stamp
Wednesday Challenge Blog
Stars an/or Stripes
I went CAS this Forth of July ! I mean June just flew by...For my card I layered card stock out, the red and the blue on a piece of lightweight white then die cut the circle. Then die cut out the star both using Spellbinder basic shape dies. After a bit of trial and error the diagonal pitch seemed the best look. The circle is popped up with foam tape then added to the card. I added the sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamp Stamp set. Then added punched out stars from Pixie Dust Glitter Card stock.

Pen and Ink Hello

For my card there is lots of inking going on. The pens are inked up in the PTI inks: Lilac Grace, Hawaiian Shores, Limeade Ice and Aqua Mist. The dye set itself did the patterning. In order to do this I made pen templates for each part in two different Misti's so I could mix and match up colors and patterns. After the set up it was easier to make several different pens.
the background was inked with Limeade Ice, Hawaiian Shores, and Aqua Mist. Then the sentiment was die cut out twice as well as the oval frame in Limeade Ice and Hawaiian Shores.
The envelope is from Parcel and Post cut from some Hawaiian Shores pattern paper.
