Enclosed Birthday

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday
Incorporating Packing Dies on Your Cards
For my card I used the Enclosed Die Series : Birthday. It comes with a full set to make a present package tag... so I turned that into a shaker card. This was made masculine (for the DH) by using the PTI Little Argyle pattern paper. Since the the color Weathervane came out it even made this paper easier to use! I used the set Woderful words: Birthday for the sentiment die cut out in Soft Stone.

Crepe Paper Birthday

Papertrey Ink
Make It Monday Challenge Glitter Inlays

This weeks challenge is to use Glitter as part of the area or inlay potion of the design element of the die. Well I do not use loose Glitter as it create much crafting mess (the DH one rule buy everything you want but no glitter!). So sacrifices must be made... and small amounts of high quality glitter paper is bought and used well sparingly! So really this one compromise I can live with...there are so many other things to buy:)

For my card today I used the background paper from the Hooray! patterned paper set. Then die cut out from Sweet Blush cardstock, the For You Tags Die set: using the "Happy"die and in pink glitter paper in the Basic die. The Birthday die and  sentiment is from Wonderful Words: Birthday.  I stamped the 'to you' in Hibiscus Burst Ink.  Then added stitching around the edges using the Lil' Inker die. May Arts pink twine and some Echo Park enamel dots finished the card off.

I have been away on vacation but made it back in time for Stamp-A- Faire; and have to it was so much being there! The event went by so fast..like being at wedding, next thing you know it is over!  I learned  so much..especially making a journal books... I only hope to do it again.

Take It Easy

Papertrey Ink
Make It Monday : Above and Below
The idea here is to have element above and below the sentiment areas. So for my card today I used the Take It Easy set to make a get well card today. This was a difficult challenge in that finding stamps/ dies and keeping them in portion with balance. I did pop up my sentiment to help tuck the elements in the area.
Overall it is good and I love my girly pajama's!

Vintage Summer

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop
Inspiration Photo
For my card I was inspired by the tablecloth and bright flowers. I used the Chicken Scratch Gingham Pattern Paper collection / the black. Then stamping out flower from Vintage Linens masking the large one and the upper one on the left. When adding the leaves, I continued to mask the third flower... did all of the leaves in New Leaf Ink. I put everything on the Tag Sale/ Square Quilting Die.
My inks included Hibiscus Burst, Amethyst Allure, Raspberry Fizz and New Leaf.
For the center I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Ink Blending on Colored Cardstock
In this weeks challenge we are to do ink blend on colored cardstock! We normally do this on a lot of white. This I must say is an amazing look. I used Autumn Rose cardstock and blended with Pure Poppy Ink as this was a darker color and would show up better on the card. PTI Apple Prints was the choice of stamps all embossed in white. The teacher die cut three times and stacked up for depth.
