Scrappy Backgrounds

OWH Tuesday Tutorial- Scrappy Backgrounds
This tutorial is by:Cara
I thought I would give this a try. It is made by taking your scraps and cutting them in 1/4 inch increments, then doing this lay out. I did use lots of tape runner glue. This was easier than I first thought and LOVE the results! I put the link above so go over there and see the easy to understand directions. This is a fun idea I will be using. Thanks Cara for sharing with all of us at OWH:)
I used all scraps from my table:
White, Red, Blue and Kraft cardstocks.

Vintage Vogue

Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger
Vintage Vogue
So my card is is far far from "vintage", but lets go to a fun engagement party or a toasting of all kinds of occasions... fun fun! I loved the gold polka dots in the center dress that really caught my eye. I stamped all the images using Encore Ultimate Metallic Gold Ink on Soft Stone cardstock. I used those pearls to add to bubbles.

Dream It Up Blog
So here is my creation for this month challenge. Not having any black paste but still having enthusiasm,I continued to find an idea to participate.
Just wanted to mention ,I loved the ideas I have been seeing with this Translucent paste (Paper Craft Planet and the blog) that has to go in the shopping cart next time! Anyway I did an outline with my LG678 (Hawaiian Hibiscus?) flowers placed around the paper. Then cut them out and placed them on some Aqua Mist cardstock for a relaxing spa feeling. The stamp is from Stampin Up, and placed three Tiny pearls there.

Our Daily Bread Designs
Five elements was they key here. They could be twine, sticker bling, circle design, patterned paper, and the stamp sentiment. This paper (from the stash) caught my fancy so I cut out the circle elements blend in the overall design of the card. That limey green hemp just added to make the card more fun. Well this this of the VCMP challenges and I had fun just making some cards:)

So now I have a Christmas card. I paired with PTI Bells and Boughs dies, Hero Arts sentiment. The bow is stamped in Encore gold ink. I added just a little bit of bling with those Starform stickers.

Patriotic Sisters
The next was to make a card Patriotic : One being a "Hero" card then make a "sister" card similar design with no sentiment (Blank). Whew hope I got that straight:)
Both cards on PTI stone gray paper, punched out the stars and used same blue card stock for both. The red and white star paper is from Webster paper. Twine is from PTI. I added small Starform sticker dots for bit of shine.Sentiments on the hero card are from PTI Star Prints.

Virtual Card Making Party
One of the challenges is to use food in your card. Well why use a cupcake all the time? We all love breakfast once in awhile so I made a the happiest breakfast I know:) I added the legs so that they would be dancing to our plates. I wanted to keep them sketch/ stick figure like and not color them in for a more contrast look.

Birthday

Happy Birthday
Simon Says Stamp Birthday Party!
Post a birthday card for big store bucks!!! So here is my card wishing them Happy Birthday. I used the sketch from OWH 119 to help with the Mojo.
I love those lanterns on that paper and paired it with one of flower image papers. This Hero arts stamp is large so I stamped the bottom part on the white, then restamped on the cardstock cutting out the top part of the stamp. I then popped the image up and colored a bit of yellow for some candle glow. The border is is the heart shape chain die, I wanted that tiny scallop which has additional details on the rim of the scallop. Its a tiny detail on die that was a surprise to me!

OWH Sketch 119 Happy 4th of July

OWH Sketch Challenge
I thought would a little 4th of July. I made a window to give that star a floating looking. All neatly dressed on the back so no ugly glue is showing. Fun little sketch and it does lend nicely to using up some left over bits of paper. The sentiment came from PTI Vintage Picnic of all places. In that set has some really other fun Flag image.. thats for another day!
